Own the “on-the-ground” side of Ikigai’s local growth—events, parades, community presence, partnerships, advertising, and on-site brand materials—working as the senior marketing hire in a three-person team (no separate manager role).
Plan and run the marketing & events calendar: open days, meetups, parade appearances, charity/community activations, and delivery celebrations.
Handle event logistics end-to-end—timelines, vendors, permits where needed, staffing, signage, pack-down, and post-event follow-up.
Build local partnerships through outreach to businesses, clubs, and aligned brands (referrals, co-promotions, sponsorships).
Support customer acquisition: track which campaigns and events drive enquiries, suggest offers/messages, and hand off leads cleanly to sales.
Coordinate radio, print, and digital advertising plans—scripts, bookings, budgets, UTMs, and simple performance reporting.
Brief and align the content creator on campaign priorities; ensure messaging is accurate and premium (no hype or misleading claims).
Own on-site brand presentation: banners, A-frames, foyer materials, QR enquiry points, and print-ready files with local printers.
Capture simple KPIs monthly: event attendance, partnership pipeline, ad spend vs leads, and lessons for next month.
Represent Ikigai professionally in public—councils, clubs, media conversations, and partner meetings.
3+ years across event marketing, local brand activations, partnerships, or dealership/community marketing.
Strong organisation—you can juggle multiple events and campaigns without dropping detail.
Comfortable with budgets, vendors, and polite B2B outreach (phone, email, in-person).
Valid Australian driver licence; able to move materials/signage around Melbourne.
Professional communication and brand judgment in public-facing work.
Weekend/evening availability for scheduled events (planned fairly in advance).
Melbourne inner-north / automotive enthusiast community knowledge.
Experience with Meta/Google campaigns or local radio partnerships.
Basic design eye (Canva/Adobe) to tweak assets when needed.
